Moon Woo-Jin and Park So-Yi, Teen Actors

Three years ago, I wrote about child actors Moon Woo-jin and Park So-yi. As of May 2021 Moon Woo-Jin had done 26 movies and dramas while Park So-Yi had done 15 movies and dramas. I don’t know how many more they’ve done since then. I do know that Moon Woo-jin was recently in Castaway Diva as the teenContinue reading “Moon Woo-Jin and Park So-Yi, Teen Actors”

Mid-Season Review of My Demon

I can understand why some people are bored with this romance series. The premise is nothing new: a non-human falls in love with a human. The plot includes reincarnation, flashbacks, marriage of convenience, mystery killer, the usual KDrama elements. The only thing that’s keeping me awake are the beautiful lead stars and the fashion. KimContinue reading “Mid-Season Review of My Demon”

Mid-Season Review of My Demon

So far so good. The story is standard human-demon romcom fantasy, marriage of convenience, opposites attract plot line, but the one thing that stands out is the chemistry between the lead stars Kim Yoo-Jung and Song Kang. They look good together and viewers want them to end up together despite the whimsical obstacles. We areContinue reading “Mid-Season Review of My Demon”

First Look at Death’s Game

The first 4 episodes are now out but I’ve only managed to watch the first episode. I’ll watch the rest this weekend, promise! This fantasy drama has an all-star cast led by Seo In-guk as the guy who wants to die and Park So-dam as Death. For committing suicide, he will now be punished byContinue reading “First Look at Death’s Game”

First Look at My Demon

This is going to be another one of those marriage for convenience fantasy romcoms. I didn’t expect much but the first two episode were captivating. Maybe because the lead stars are both attractive? The supporting characters aren’t bad either. This series is now on my watch list.

Mid-Season Review of Strong Girl Nam-soon

Is it just me or is this series turning out to be so boring? I feel that there’s more screen time for the mom and the grandma than for Nam-soon. Nam-soon’s character is cute and naive but there hasn’t been character growth in 8 episodes. The story is just too slow. I think I’ll dropContinue reading “Mid-Season Review of Strong Girl Nam-soon”

Strong Woman Bong-soon’s Cameo in Strong Girl Nam-soon

What a delightful surprise in episode 3 of Strong Girl Nam-soon! Bong-soon (Park Bo-young) and Min-hyuk (Park Hyung-sik) visit a police station and bump into Nam-soon’s grandma (Kim Hae-sook). She confirms that they, the strong women, are indeed related. In the same episode, Nam-soon finally finds her mom. Exciting times ahead!

The Uncanny Counter 2 Finale

Twelve episodes was the perfect length for this fantasy action drama. The pacing was great, the build-up was suspenseful, the character growth of both the Counters and the villains was just right. With such strong villains, there was no guarantee that all the Counters would survive at the end, especially with that uncanny prophesy inContinue reading “The Uncanny Counter 2 Finale”

First Look at Moving

I can’t remember the name of the American series that featured teenagers with superhero powers. This new KDrama series has a similar vibe. Three high school students have special skills – one has super strength, one has incredible speed, and one can float (maybe eventually he’ll learn to control it and fly?). Their parents and/orContinue reading “First Look at Moving”
